Land use violations can cause harm to the environment, can be a nuisance to neighbors, or can just be unsafe for the residents of the property on which the violation occurs. To remedy any situation in which a property has a land use violation, the City has set a policy outlining the process in which they deal with the property owner to resolve the situation as follows:

  1. Notifying the property owner of the violation(s)
  2. Discussion with property owner / seeking a resolution
  3. For unresolved situations, moving beyond negotiations

Because employees of the City are not always aware of potential land use ordinance violations, tips from citizens are very useful. This system webpage shall serve as an alternate method for citizens to provide the City with information about potential violations.

If you have a land use violation tip to give, please email marohn@communitygrowth.net.

Although this system does not allow us the option of anonymity for tip-givers, all tips will be treated anonymously. All violation tips must be for violations of the Land Use Ordinance.
