The City of Emily has ordered the preparation of an Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for a subdivsion called Roosevelt Shores.  The purpose of an EAW process is to disclose information about potential environmental impacts of the project; it is not an approval process. The information disclosed in the EAW process has two functions: to determine whether an EIS is needed, and to indicate how the project can be modified to lessen environmental impacts. Such modifications may be imposed as permit conditions by regulatory agencies.
